He Believes in You

This morning as I was drinking my coffee I scrolled through some FaceBook stuff.  Almost buried among all the annoying advertising was a little post by a dear Danish friend of mine.  His post was the simple statement, “I believe in God.”

When I read it, Holy Spirit spoke to me.  It was like He was smiling almost to the point of a chuckle.  He simply said, “Yes he does believe.  And I also believe in him.”

Knowing each of them as I do, I know the belief each is talking about is a deep trusting confidence in the character and desires of the other.

Often we seem to forget:  Faith is a reciprocal arrangement.  As we are touched by the heart of Father God, He draws us into His family with His deep belief in us.  As we choose to respond to His belief in us, our hearts reach out to touch Him.  As God’s heart is touched by ours, His faith, His confidence, and His belief in us grow.  As His faith in us grows, we are drawn into deeper more assured faith, confidence, and belief in Him.

Virtually every child of God has, or will, go through a time when he will say, “I do not believe in God anymore.”  When that happens there is a very important truth he can rely upon.  It will be okay because God still believes in him.

Today, take a moment to remember that God believes in YOU.  And He thinks you are very important and special to Him.

His, thus Yours,
  Stuart
