Those of you who follow this blog on a regular basis might remember back in June I wrote about my desire for affirmation and confirmation concerning our vision for an embassy here near Washington, DC. The expectation then would cost about 2.5 million dollars. About one month later having found no affirmation that the Lord was ready to finance it, I wrote that we were trying to move forward at about one quarter of that amount. Well we made an offer. In a set of circumstances our realtor characterized as one of the 3 strangest he has seen in 25 years of experience, our offer went no where. While I do not subscribe to following open doors and closed doors as the way to find God’s will, when He does things so strange as to border on the miraculous to close a door I do want to pay attention.
On a deep level, I still hope and believe in the 2.5 million dollar vision. However, out of love for the family He has given me to serve, I know we need to move quickly to some kind of farm where we can house ourselves and the horses. But every time we have thought to move forward at a lesser level of cost we have encountered one impossibility or another.
If you were thinking that those of us who seem so confident in our following God would never have such problems. I am here to let you know that we suffer the same kinds of frustrations in these matters as all our brothers throughout the World.
His, thus Yours,
Stuart
Nice to know I am not alone in this 🙂 Believing God will allow you to purchase a property for the things you described when you were here. The finances will be there in his perfect timing for that to come to pass just as you saw it ❤
