Deception must be mostly True

Good Morning to you and your household.  I have my second cup of coffee in hand.  This morning before I began to write to you I read a popular news summary that is available to every computer on the internet.  I found the Holy Spirit pointing out over and over how the news summaries were mostly true and yet they conveyed information that led to conclusions that may be completely false.

A story about a war torn city where fighters are calling for a “ceasefire” so that injured civilians can be evacuated.  No where does the article mention that in these civil wars there is absolutely no way to distinguish between the “innocent” civilian and the “guilty” combatant.  A story about wildlife cites research that says the population of polar bears might drop by one third over the next 40 years.  It does not mention that the same population might also double over the next 40 years.  A story about the Earth’s orbiting of the Sun suggests that the speed of the orbit has been changing and so we are headed for a 25 hour day.  It does not mention that the length of a day is not determined by the orbit but by the rotation of the earth on its axis.  Moreover the article presents as fact that these changes of 2 milliseconds per day have been ongoing for many centuries.  In fact except during the most recent 100 years mankind has had no means to measure anything in milliseconds.

A few concepts from the Scriptures come to mind:

1.  The majority of news stories are designed to incite uncertainty and fear.  “If it bleeds it leads!”  This is the common rubric of the business because the spectacular, the frightening, the horrorific, are the stories that sell advertising and draw the attention of people.  But, the perfect love of God casts out all fear.

2.  We are instructed to develop our skills at discerning between good and evil by practice.  A great deception has been foisted upon the church by teachings that tell us to never judge, never think about evil, never speak the truth about evil actions.  While it is true we need to not spend our thoughts dwelling on the evil things.  We should think about the good things.  But, if we fail to look honestly at things around us discerning between what is good and what is evil, we open our lives to the deceiver and his ability to lead us into error.  Jesus, who loves us, is Truth.

3.  Satan the deceiver is our accuser.  Much turmoil has been stirred in the world about climate change.  That the climate of the Earth changes is simply a fact.  That has been ongoing since the Earth came into existence.  The great deception was never about whether climate changes or not.  The great deception was based on the lie that we, mankind, are the god’s who control such changes.  When we accept that lie, then we must also accept the lie that somehow you and I are guilty.  We are causing destruction.  It is not satan who has come to kill, corrupt, and destroy.  It is mankind, the secular humanist gods, who are responsible for all this terrible damage that might possibly come from climate change.  Oh, by the way, the changes of the climate might also benefit the Earth as they have in the past.

Beloved, we are the loved ones of God.  He personally loves you.  He never leads or motivates His family by either fear or guilt.  Do not let the enemy deceive you.  Develop your discernment skills.

His, thus Yours,
  Stuart

    1. Dominion would include stewardship. But, that is a very different thing than being gods who control the climate of the Earth. The pride involved in even beginning to believe such nonsense boggles the mind.
