Good Morning, no coffee this morning ! A bit of orange juice instead. The family is all still asleep and the coffee grinder makes much too much noise for early on a Saturday morning. The weather is a bit warmer; it is almost up to 5 degrees outside. Most of the snow is gone. I hope you are having a great day.
Who are you ?
This is the important question. Apart from what you have done, apart from what you now do or may do in the future, who are you ? What determines your identity ? Your fingerprints, your facial features, your DNA, all these visible features about you are unique. That which is visible is made from that which is invisible. What are your spiritual fingerprints ? What is your spiritual DNA ?
Throughout most of society we identify ourselves and others on the basis of titles and accomplishments. A large part of the reason why severely handicapped people disappear from our social consciousness is that they have neither titles nor accomplishments that we can point to for their identity. In our clubs and organizations, church, social, and professional, we identify people by their titles and functions. For those who have no visible title or function, they are relegated to the faceless masses, the silent majority. Sadly, many people accept the idea that God’s view of us is similar. But, this is not at all true.
My wife and I raised 5 children. From the time we began to know each of them, even before they were born, each of them was unique and clearly different from the others. Papa God knew you personally before you were formed in your mother’s womb. You were loved and honored by Papa God as the unique individual you are. He wants you to find your personal identity. You personally are very special to Him.
Ask Holy Spirit to help you find your own identity.
His, thus Yours,
Stuart
I like Paul’s definition 2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].”
