I feel so deeply privileged because God has permitted me to have opportunities to listen to people across five continents. In doing so I am often reminded that when we are encouraged to put on the whole armor of God because we will encounter evil days.
Given the current world wide economic crises, the symptom of the evil days often encountered is running out of money — or the food, shelter, and medical care, that require money to obtain.
Those of us who live in the midst of wealth and abundance often have little or no contact with people living at a bare subsistence level of poverty. For most of us poverty is a concept but not a reality.
